Falésia Beach voted the best in the world by Tripadvisor users

Known "for its dramatic cliffs, golden sands and sparkling blue waters", the Algarve's Falésia beach was voted the best in the world for 2024 at the Traveller's Choice Awards, distinctions given annually by Tripadvisor "to those who receive a large volume of exceptional reviews and opinions" from users of the platform "during a period of 12 months," a milestone reached by "less than 1%" of the site's eight million listings, the company said in a statement.

"It is possible to take a long walk along the waterfront. The colors of the cliffs are spectacular and you can hardly understand how many kilometers you have traveled. Highly recommended for anyone who loves these scenarios," reads one of the featured comments. In the summary paragraph dedicated to the beach, which stretches between Olhos de Água (Albufeira) and Vilamoura (Loulé), it is also suggested to walk "along the picturesque trail at the top of the cliffs" to contemplate "the incredible views", and the easy access by public transport is highlighted, among other details.
